Studio Manager

ManvsMachine are looking for a Studio Manager, could this be you?

We are a multidimensional creative studio specialising in the fields of design, film and visual arts. Our London and Los Angeles studios work closely with the world's leading brands and agencies to produce award-winning creative content.

We’re looking for someone to manage our East London studio of approximately 30 people. This would be an in-house, five-days-a-week position. We’d love someone to join us who will take personal pride in the smooth running and presentation of our studio.

What you’ll do:

You will be a key member of the studio supporting all teams - Production, Creative and IT:

Studio
- Being the first port of call for visitors, clients, phone calls and deliveries.
- Ensuring the tidiness and presentability of the general space and meeting rooms.
- Managing studio suppliers and maintaining supplies: weekly fruit, monthly salads, coffee bean delivery etc.
- Managing facilities: fire safety, studio alarm, cleaners, recycling etc.
- Facilitating on-site repairs and liaising with building landlord and business neighbours.
- Maintaining the studio calendars and setting up meetings.
- Managing physical security of the studio - eg set door alarm, sign in visitors.
- Managing the company inbox.
- Keeping the plants alive!

Team
- Welcoming new starters.
- Onboarding / offboarding freelancers and employees, staying on top of who has access to what.
- Purchasing gifts and keeping track of birthdays and life events!
- Updating the team on studio happenings in a weekly studio-wide call.
- Being the ‘go-to’ person if anyone has any questions.
- Organising studio events including Christmas and Summer parties.
- Keeping up general studio morale!

Production Support
- Raising purchase orders.
- Setting up new suppliers.
- Sending out NDAs.- General admin support for the Production team: buying stock footage, sending drives etc.
- Assisting the Head of Operations with freelance booking admin and team holidays.
- Filing team expenses.

Misc
- Helping IT with small tasks eg, ordering new equipment, and organising repairs.
- Being part of the social media team and helping with uploads and copy.
- Supporting and managing award entries
- General PA tasks for senior management eg. setting up calls.

What you’ll need:

Ideal skills for the role would be good time management, the ability to prioritise tasks, being happy to be hands-on, being a confident communicator, and being generally friendly and positive, and bringing good vibes! Previous similar job experience in a post-production/creative environment would be ideal but not essential.
